Condition: This is a VERY RARE "Collins & Co. Hartford Cast Steel Warranted Made In U.S.A. Legitimus" "CIVEL DEFENSE" fireman's axe, that weighs in at 6 pounds 5.0 oz. You just don't see a lot of these "CD" stamped axes around. Unfortunately the bit/cutting edge is in poor condition, with lots of big chips and nicks on it (see all pics). And it's also unfortunate that the spike/pick is missing a big chunk of steel from its tip (see all pics). On the plus side the COLLINS makers marks are fairly clear and deep, and the triangle in a circle "CD" symbol is also nice and clear (see all pics).
