    You are bidding on a vintage WWII KA-BAR known as the commando knife. These are not often seen and they are not well known. Very capable knife 10.5 inches long from which the blade is 5.75 inches. Comfortable leather handle with bakelite ends and steel pommel. These was acquired from KA-BAR and issued to various branches with no official designation. There were two models: one with fuller and one with no fuller. This one is the latter. It is somewhat similar to an MK1. This example is in very nice shape. It is marked on the guard. Along with the the Western Shark this is my favorite WWII era knife, perfect size and weight, comfortable, close to perfection knife. Only one for sale on ebay now. See all the pictures bellow.
