Vintage Pairpoint Glass Cup Plate
This is a beautiful antique glass cup plate. This cup plate is yellow and the design honors the National Early American Glass Club. 1933-1983.
Cup plates are small decorative art glass coaster size collectible plates. They were originally used in the early 1800's when fashion decreed tea cups without handles. Hot tea was poured into saucers to cool, while the cup was placed on a small cup plate to prevent damage to fine linens or table tops. Today cup plates may be used to hold the tea bag, butter pats or mints at the dinner table. They look so pretty displayed on a windowsill with the light shining through and they make great gifts.
Measurements: 3.5" in diameter
This is in Good used, vintage condition, see pictures. There are 3 scallops with small chips.
Cup plates will be shipped in vintage gift boxes which will be packed inside a mailing box for safe travels.
