    Mt Washington Opaline Hand Enameled Set
    DESCRIPTION
    I am extremely excited to offer this RARE and beautiful example of Mt. Washington Glass that was produced in the late 1800's. This set is made in white opal glass with pink on the interior of the ruffled top. There is a ribbed pattern on the bottom that is made in the glass. The hand enameled decoration is flowers in a red, pink and blue. The stems for the flowers are brown with a gold accents over the top. The leaves are done in a deep green with gold accents. The handle for the pitcher and creamer are reeded and applied. The pitcher stands 9 1/2" tall to the top of the handle, and measures about 8" with the spout and handle. The creamer for the set is about 5 1/2" tall to the top of the handle, and measures 4 3/8" diameter including the spout and handle. The matching tumbler is 4" tall, and measures 2 3/4" diameter. You can see in the photos that all of the pieces do glow when it is under black light. There is a pontil mark on the bottom.  Picture #9 shows a couple of small dots of material in the glass on the top edge. Picture #10 shows there is some extra glass under the ruffled edge. Picture #11 shows a tiny dink in one of the reeds on the handle. There no other damage. There is a small amount of wear in the decoration. This set is a collector's dream.
