    post-WWII Original US Army 18" Machete w/DOD Proof Mark & Rigger Made Canvas Scabbard - Nice Condition
    Up for Auction is a post-WWII Era Original US Army 18" Machete with a Rigger Made Canvas Scabbard.  This machete is marked: with US DOD Proof Mark.  It has an 18" long blade, with bright blade and green metal grips.  The blade is in used, see photo's for Condition, no rust or pitting.  There are a few nicks and chips in the blade.  It does show minor evidence of sharpening.  The green metal handles are in good condition, no chips or breaks.  The scabbard is Rigger Made from a .50 cal barrel bag.  The end of the barrel bag was used.  The throat was reenforced with rivets and a belt loop with a M1910 belt hook, was added.  The scabbard is used, see photo's for Condition, no rips or tears.  A nice collectble post-WWII Vintage Machete.
