According to Walker,
the Thorburn specimen cited above was included in a parcel of Celtiberian bronzes. Frochoso, following Walker, assigns this type to al-Andalus. In the Ashmolean Sylloge, Nicol is more equivocating, assigning this issue to Spain "or possibly North Africa". In his
Checklist
, Album attributes it to North Africa. Based on epigraphy and module, I am inclined to think a mint in Spain is more likely than one in Africa.
