New from CMI is this beef master of a block designed (originally by West Coast arborist Ed Hobbs) for rigging big wood with big ropes. A key feature of this mostly aluminum design is the large diameter sheave (4.5-inches) that minimizes the bend radius of the guest rope to lessen fiber distortion, that is known to amplify heat and lower tensile strength. Large and in charge (not to mention lightweight) is what will happen on the job with this masterful work of modern technology and American craftsmanship! Aluminum side plates, bushing and sheave, with stainless steel axle and bronze bushing. No lubrication required.
Finally, a giant block for your beefy ropes! Blue Anodized Aluminum sideplates, Aluminum sheave, Bushing, and Stainless Steel axle. 68,000 lbs tensile strength, up to 1" rope capacity, weighs 6.6 pounds. Improved rounded edges.
