Description

This lovely shaker is made from opalware glass which was dipped in an acid bath to give it a matte satin finish. It’s decorated with alternating pink and yellow panels and purple and blue polychrome hand painted Johnny Jump-Up flowers. It has a period two-part lid, that is dent free. This is a Mt Washington Erie twist (aka Helmschmeid swirl) blank that was decorated by C.F. Monroe, circa: 1892-1900. The shaker is in excellent condition for its age, the glass is damage free, and the enamel has little to no wear. It measures approximately 2 ½” tall and 1 ¾” across the base.
