The assembly comes with 8' of an Austrian Pewag 3/8", grade 100 chain (STRONGEST 3/8" CHAIN ON THE MARKET) and a high-quality imported grade 100 heavy-duty choker hook. We've hunted high and low and these are the highest quality parts you can get to make this chain. Overall, this chain assembly is rated for a pull of 8800 pounds (safe working limit), which is the strength rating for the hook. The chain itself has an absurdly high certified breaking strength of 40,000 pounds. Please be aware that you will have to install the hook onto the chain, but that's a snap.
